We have a car magnet that says "Autism Awareness". It's my simple way to invite society to learn the symptoms of autism. It's kind of goofy but I had a feeling over a year ago we should put one on the car.
Today, a woman followed me home and walked up to our driveway. She said she just moved here from the Philippines and that her son has autism. She wanted some help and someone to talk to. She was tearful and glad someone in the neighborhood understood. I think we'll be good friends.
