Ella's 7th Birthday!

Ella is the most wonderful girl in the whole world.

She celebrated her 7th this past week by going shopping/ lunch with Gogo/Grandpa.
After that, she wanted to get her ears pierced at the mall.
We don't have pictures for that because she was crying and hiding from the lady.
After some encouragement, she was brave enough to sit still.
Now she looks so much older!

Having a birthday party.

It was very sad when a few of her hairs caught on fire while blowing out her birthday candles.
So Scary!  We caught it on video and we'll spare her more embarrassment.
Fortunately, she was surrounded by loving friends and family.
And you can't even tell about the hair thing.

A new bike.

Playing with brother, as always.
See how she sacrifices her Barbie dolls for Lego torture.

I stand completely in awe at how wonderful she is.
Ella is honest and virtuous.
She values modesty (not even letting her Barbie Dolls dress sleazy)
She has a very tender heart.
She has been through a lot of illnesses and she understands it's a part of learning.
She is so patient and forgiving.
She loves cuddles.
She gets straight A's on all her work.
She truly is an example.
She makes our lives worth living.
She is a great example.
Happy Birthday

Spring Blossoms and Pinewood Derby

I looked out the window and what did I see?
Popcorn popping!
This picture was taken in Prescott when we went to run errands for Uncle David's birthday.
Ella was thrilled to see this.

Birthday dinner.
Mom and I pulled up our sleeves and made this delicious chicken feast.  Happy Birthday David!

John won Pinewood Derby this year!!!  We were SO excited for him.  There were a lot of boys racing great cars so we were a bit surprised that "Pencil #2" had fastest average time.  John had a clever idea for the shape of his car this year.  Way to go, John!

We also went to a spring training game with Dad just down the street.  Kansas City Royals are frequently jogging the streets and taking yoga classes around here this time of year.
