Slip and Slide Video Challenge

Adam

Adam has been one busy guy lately. This morning I woke up and thought about his wonderful example to us. He has a full schedule all day, every day. Here are a few wonderful things Adam does daily:

He wakes up before everyone else.

He reads scriptures diligently every morning by himself before leaving for work.

He makes time at work to check in on me each day.

He buys cheap lunches or doesn't eat in order to save us money.

He makes dinner if I haven't.

He does laundry regularly.

He doesn't come home and sit on the couch....he gets right to work helping around the house.

He lets me sleep in on the weekends.

He goes to the food co-op and NEVER makes me go.

He always takes the trash out and mows the lawn.

He takes time for everyone in the family, no matter how tired he is.

Well, I could go on. I'm just so grateful for Adam's hard work and for his sacrifices for the family. He even grows a mustache on vacations so we can laugh!

I have a bit of a ritual for achieving maximum ANYA-NESS. Here's a few thing I've been using lately...I'm a bit of a cosmetic junkie. I'd like to revamp my routine and clean out my bathroom soon. SO, please share some of YOUR latest finds and tips. OR, if there's something I'm doing really wrong, feel free to voice your opinion.

Skincare:

Befine sugar and mint gentle cleanser

Witch Hazel for toner (MUST HAVE)

Befine warming pomegranate clay mask

Body Shop Everyday Summer Face Lotion (slow progressive face tanning lotion for summer)

Costco (Borghese) Age-defying moisturizer SPF15

Burt's Bees Radiance Night Cream

I also do home steam facials with gentle salt scrubs)

Makeup:

Merle Norman Luxiva Age-defying foundation SPF 20

Ulta Professional Eye primer

Merle Norman Cover-up concealer

Organic Wear eye liner (in Olive)

Lash Stiletto mascara

Urban Decay eye shadow

Organic wear Bronzer (occasionally)

and I have a whole bunch of lip gloss..I use something new each day depending on my mood. Lately, I use a cute sample from Merle Norman, Sweetness Moist lip color

I also only use Mac brushes...they last forever and work the best. The only problem is they cost a ton. I saved some money and bought two. That's all I use right now.

I'm probably forgetting some things, but that's all I can think of right now. Welp, see ya.

Bountiful Baskets

I can't say enough good things about our local food co-op. This morning we got all of this for $34! Including fresh herbs, garlic, pickle cucumbers, etc.

Summer Gardening

Did a little gardening today. I cut back two buckets full of rosemary. The basil is starting to take off too. Ella and John enjoyed the weather and made forts in the yard with blankets.

Hairdos

Ella gets little hairdos sometimes after her bath. I'm no pro, but it's a sweet little memory I'll always cherish.

Our night with Sam

We got to watch our nephew Sam last night for Devin and Allison's anniversary! It was so fun. It's really funny, when you watch the video, John is trying to get in every photo. He said he was jealous of baby Sam. WOW! That's a big deal for John! Of course he was jealous, though...Sam's so cute!! John was still very kind and shared his Monkey. Ella played Mommy - licked her hand and straightened out Sam's hair. Too fun!

This is what we did over spring break. I had to edit Adam out for a few shots...I caught him dancing around in his pj's which was a little too much for public broadcast. Allison and B make the cutest videos- SO, I'm doing everything I can to keep up!!

Summer Project #2

I made this cover for our filing cabinet yesterday. I use these drawers for my sewing stuff. It's a good idea if you want to hide your filing cabinet. I put buttons on the sides for easy access. The fabric is interesting...it's the reverse side of some leftover fabric my mom gave me. Quite unique!
