Sick days, Safeway

Ella has had pink eye all week!  Poor little thing.
She has been such a good girl, not hardly complaining.

But here was some good news.  I got a sweet deal at Safeway from The Frugal Find website.
I got all this for $16.63!!!
Doesn't sound like a good deal yet?
I order it online and they delivered it to my house!
The delivery guy said so many moms are doing this right now.
It's over $50 worth of groceries shipped.
The delivery guy even said he wasn't allowed to accept a tip.  He brought them in and put them in the kitchen.  What a bargain.
Jump on the deal before Dec. 31st.
I liked it so much I might have to order more groceries online.
This was so great since Ella has been sick!

Good Things to Come

A Wonderful Quote

"...it ultimately is impossible for another person to offend you or to offend me. Indeed, believing that another person offended us is fundamentally false. To be offended is a choice we make; it is not a condition inflicted or imposed upon us by someone or something else.
"...To believe that someone or something can make us feel offended, angry, hurt, or bitter diminishes our moral agency and transforms us into objects to be acted upon. As agents, however, you and I have the power to act and to choose how we will respond to an offensive or hurtful situation.

"...During a perilous period of war, an exchange of letters occurred between Moroni, the captain of the Nephite armies, and Pahoran, the chief judge and governor of the land. Moroni, whose army was suffering because of inadequate support from the government, wrote to Pahoran “by the way of condemnation” (Alma 60:2) and harshly accused him of thoughtlessness, slothfulness, and neglect. Pahoran might easily have resented Moroni and his message, but he chose not to take offense. Pahoran responded compassionately and described a rebellion against the government about which Moroni was not aware. And then he responded, “Behold, I say unto you, Moroni, that I do not joy in your great afflictions, yea, it grieves my soul. … And now, in your epistle you have censured me, but it mattereth not; I am not angry, but do rejoice in the greatness of your heart” (Alma 61:2, 9).

"...One of the greatest indicators of our own spiritual maturity is revealed in how we respond to the weaknesses, the inexperience, and the potentially offensive actions of others. A thing, an event, or an expression may be offensive, but you and I can choose not to be offended—and to say with Pahoran, “it mattereth not.”

John's Baptism

John's baptism and confirmation was such a special day for our family.
Look at his cute little smile!
We had lots of friends and family attend, some who had travelled quite a distance to support our little man...Devin and Allison making the long haul from Flag.
I wish we had more photos, but the day was filled with the Spirit and we are so grateful for this opportunity.  It was a very sacred afternoon and we will always remember the kindness of family, friends, and the ward.
We are also grateful for John's choice to follow Jesus Christ.
John was so excited...and he kept saying it.
He got a brand new suit, scriptures, a cub scout shirts and handbook, a book from Gogo and Grandpa, dollars, and a penny bank from Great Grandma.
Most importantly, he received the gift of the Holy Ghost!

Before the baptism some of the cousins lined up for a photo.
Nina, Jaxson, Oaklee, Charlee, Ella, Elle, and John

Mom and Brian talking numbers or something! :)

I'm very grateful Adam was able to perform the ordinances on John's special day...and John was glad too!
If anyone else has photos, please send them our way! :)

December Favorites...CHEAP!

I hate peanut butter and chocolate together ususally.
But these peanut butter Oreos are amazing.
The crunchy cookie and light nutty filling are heavenly.

E.L.F. cosmetics sold at Target have been ongoing favorites of mine.
Most of their individual products are only $1 !!!
Their eye shadows go on smooth with lots of color.
This is their 32 piece eyeshadow collection for only $5.
The colors are so fun and festive!
Wondering what to do with those bright colors?
Use them as liners near your lash line to make your eyes pop.

E.L.F. sells super cheap $1 brushes.
A few of them are not too great (I'll be honest).
I'll always love my Mac brushes....and Sigma too!
BUT, the Eye Shadow brush and the concealer brush are two incredible finds for only being $1 each!
I use them daily.

Yes, more E.L.F... What would Christmas be without E.L.F.(s)??
This is an incredible find.
It is the natural eyeshadow palette for $3
The colors look pink in this picture, but trust me - they lean more towards beautiful shimmery golds.
Great stocking stuffers too!

Miley Cyrus is a bit obnoxious.
But her (modest) clothes are cute...I will admit.
These are her long sleeved tissue tees.
I found them at Walmart for $6.
The neckline is favorable and you can match these shirts up with cute accessories.
Be sure to buy one that's a little big because they shrink a tad.

I love this scrub...St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Fresh Skin.
It's the right grittiness and makes my skin so smooth during these dry/cold winter months.
I hate buying a "scrub" that has only a few little grains in it.
This is the perfect harshness to rid dead skin...and gently.  It smells great and doesn't make me break out.

Wallflowers in Fresh Balsam, sold at Bath & Body Works.
Yeah, I actually went there on Black Friday and made Mom stand in line for me.  Thanks Mom!
They were $5 each!!
Now these are 2 for $20 so I'll wait to buy more.
But this smell is so Christmas-y...I love it!

Cover Girl Lash Blast
Amazing patent rubbery brushes make for long lashes.
I bought a 3-pack at Costco and love it.
This mascara far surpasses expensive brands.

Merry Christmas!!  Now it's time to relax and enjoy these precious days ahead.
