This summer I will be working on an advisory committee for a new holistic autism center opening here in the west valley. This will be an exciting endeavor and I feel blessed to be invited to participate. More to come on that.
I will be hosting another open house autism meeting in our home for all families of autistic children in the school district. It will be nice to meet with other families and I look forward to that time with them.
I'm also participating in a support campaign for Sharon Wolcott who is running for Mayor. I'll be honest, politics is not something I enjoy. There's a LOT of dishonesty and backstabbing involved with any political campaign. Unfortunately, I've been a witness of such awful behaviors and I feel impressed that I need to speak out. This seems to be a common theme in my life...speaking out. And there's always opposition when I get that nervous feeling to say what I believe. But here goes: I believe Sharon Wolcott is the best choice for the city. There is wickedness and corrupt good-old-boy networking that has been poisoning our community, so I can't sit idly by and watch our city drown in debt/bondage. I encourage all city residents to vote for Wolcott.
That's about it for now...Ooooh - one more huge thing. The family has a new homestead/cabin/ranchette up north. Mom Kotila has made THIS gorgeous endeavor which we are SO excited about. I have a feeling we'll be out of town quite a bit working on this new family tradition. The cabin is at 4,000ft elevation so the weather will be cooler and we'll see a little snowfall too. Mom has worked really hard for this so we don't take it lightly. Many memories ahead!
